When you are on a budget, sometimes it can be hard to make nutritious food choices. That is why Gateway CHC is a depot for the Good Food Bags from the Community Development Council of Quinte.

Good Food Bags provide economical, fresh, and healthy food every month. Whether you order a vegetable bag, fruit bag, or both, you will receive a selection of delicious seasonal produce for nutritious meals and snacks. You can also maximize the use of your Good Food Bags with recipes and tips from Gateway CHC’s dietitian.

How to Get a Good Food Bag

• Contact our Community Resource Worker at  613-478-1906 ext. 333 or stop by the reception desk at the Tweed location to make your order.
• Orders and payment must be received by the first Tuesday of the month.
• Bags are ready for pick-up on the second Tuesday of each month between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the NEW Hungerford Agricultural Society, 297 Joseph St., in Tweed.

Cost:

• Vegetable Bag: $10
• Fruit Bag: $5
